[K1ng Eljay] – One of the few sites that I’ve been a supporter of as of late has been the Best Of Both Offices team. Originally drawn to them due to Biz’s craziness on Twitter, I eventually got interested enough to where I began to check their site every couple of days. It’s one of the few blog sites left with a voice (that’s not annoying….that’s important, too), and you know we enjoy that element.
Recently, they dropped a compilation of sorts, presented by Immanuel Smith. Although I didn’t get a chance to review it, I made a mental note that the second edition, I would highlight here on the site. And, like clockwork, they progressed enough to drop a second edition a couple months later, highlighting several artists in a manner that TRULY puts the focus on new artists.
And we love finding new artists.
With that being said, a huge salute to their team, and props again on the tape. It’s been on my iPod since I got the advance (and “Weight” is crazy to me), and that’s something I can’t say about ANY music outside of a select few. Keep going.
With no further delay, on to the review from Joe Hova.

Tell A Story Day is April 27th, and in order to celebrate that, we at #TheRedefined decided to have some fun with it. Memory Lane is a feature where we detail some of our most memorable recollections as they tie into music. Some are funny, some aren’t… but all of them are real, and all of them prove how powerful music can be. Without any further delay, check out the post below…
As I write this, I’m actually listening to Sir GuWop of Atlanta. I’ve had to think about this and actually pinpoint where I first started listening to “trap rap” and my discovery of this awesome sub-genre of rap takes place in the early 2000’s with music from T.I., Clipse, and even Cam’ron (KILLA). (You get this reference, right?)
[K1ng Eljay] – We’ve addressed zombies.
To round out this triple-play of bonus content, we’ll address resurrected artists. We hinted at this a bit earlier this week, but these are people who’ve had their careers all but done (Whether by their own design or by environmental hazards of the industry) and somehow found an extra life somewhere along the way.
These artists are talented, and it only took a reboot for others to realize it. Check the list below, and be sure to connect with us on Twitter and Facebook for upcoming content. Trust us on this one.
